ToggleCredits and Subscription Model
Credits are used for IOS-related case processing and design services within the ZAnGeSa Shark Studio.
Core idea: Use subscription plans for your usual case load and purchase additional credits whenever you need extra capacity.
What are credits used for?
Credits are consumed when a new IOS case is collected and made available for your company workflow, or when a case is exported via the ZAnGeSa Shark Studio.
Subscription plans
Subscription plans are designed for continuous usage and provide a defined monthly credit amount together with a corresponding cloud storage capacity.
Credits are added automatically on each renewal date for monthly plans. For yearly plans, credits are added monthly throughout the yearly subscription period.
Storage capacity
If your company has an active subscription plan, the included storage replaces the default free storage of 2 GB.
The storage capacity is determined only by the active subscription plan, with 200 MB allocated per monthly plan credit. This applies to both monthly and yearly subscription plans.
Prepaid (one-time) credits do not increase the available storage capacity.
Examples:
- 25 credits plan → 5 GB storage
- 100 credits plan → 20 GB storage
Changing a subscription plan
Upgrading a subscription plan
If your company switches to a higher subscription plan, the change takes effect immediately.
The difference in credits between the current plan and the newly selected plan is added to the company account immediately. The included cloud storage capacity is also adjusted immediately according to the new plan.
Downgrading a subscription plan
If your company switches to a lower subscription plan, the change does not take effect immediately. The lower plan becomes effective from the next billing period. For yearly plans, this means the downgrade becomes effective from the next yearly period.
Once the downgrade becomes active, the monthly credit allocation and the included cloud storage capacity are reduced according to the newly selected plan.
If the current credit balance is above the rollover limit of the lower plan, no new subscription credits are added until the balance falls below the rollover threshold of the active plan.
If the currently used cloud storage exceeds the storage capacity of the lower plan, no data is deleted automatically. However, the company may receive low storage or no remaining storage warnings, and new case collection or sharing may be interrupted until enough storage space is freed or the plan is changed again.
Cancelling a subscription plan
A subscription plan can be cancelled at any time.
If the cancellation is made during the first 30 days of the subscription, the plan is cancelled free of charge and no payment is due.
After the first 30 days, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. For monthly plans, this means the end of the current month. For yearly plans, this means the end of the current yearly period.
Until the cancellation becomes effective, the subscription remains active and the company continues to receive the credits and storage capacity included in the plan.
After the cancellation becomes effective, no further subscription credits are allocated. Any remaining credits expire 1 year after the most recent credit allocation.
Prepaid (one-time) credits
Prepaid credits can be purchased at any time through the WebShop.
They are intended to provide additional flexibility when the required capacity exceeds the monthly subscription plan.
Typical use cases include:
- temporary increase in scanner case volume
- onboarding of new clinics
Trial credits
When an IOS inbox connection is activated for the first time and the first case is fetched, the company automatically receives a trial license.
The trial:
- includes 120 credits
- is valid for one month
- can only be activated once per company
After the trial ends, or if all trial credits are used earlier, a paid option must be activated through the WebShop.
Credit rollover limit
Unused credits from the active subscription plan can be transferred to the next month, but the rollover is limited.
Plan credits can accumulate only up to three times the monthly credit amount of the active plan.
For example, if the company uses a plan with 25 credits per month, the maximum number of accumulated plan credits is 75.
If this rollover limit has already been reached, no new monthly credits are added until the credit balance falls below the limit.
Additional credits purchased through the WebShop are not limited by the rollover cap. However, new subscription credits are only added again once the balance drops below the plan rollover threshold.
Credit expiry
Credits are valid for a limited time depending on how they were obtained.
- Subscription credits
- Remain valid while the subscription is active
- Expire 1 year after the most recent credit allocation
- Prepaid (one-time) credits
- Expire 1 year after the most recent prepaid credit addition
- Each new prepaid credit addition extends the expiry of all existing prepaid credits
- Trial credits
- Expire 1 month after the start of the trial
After the expiry date, unused credits are automatically removed and can no longer be used.
Buying extra credits
If your company needs more credits before the next renewal, you can purchase additional credits through the WebShop or switch to a higher plan.
Buying additional credits is usually a good option when the higher demand is temporary, for example in case of a short-term increase in scanner traffic or when onboarding a new clinic.
If your company regularly reaches the limit, upgrading to a larger subscription plan may be the better long-term option.
Best practice
- use a subscription plan for predictable workload
- use prepaid credits for temporary peaks
- monitor credit consumption regularly
- upgrade plans if high usage becomes consistent
