Forwarding Orders

Orders can be forwarded to different production centers. You can 

  • forward a single order 
  • or forward all orders in a selected timeframe

Forward single orders

On the Details page of a given order, click the Forward button. 

Select the desired production center from your production center contacts and whether shipping is still handled by your production center. 

If a milling center is on vacation or doesn’t have materials available needed to fulfill an order, they may to decide to:
either forward all orders to another milling center
forward a specific order to another milling center.

For forwarding single orders a possibility in the order view of the group must be available to fulfill those needs. A button should be available to forward the order to another milling center. If this button is pressed, a confirmation should be shown: “Please confirm to forward the selected order to Milling Center ABC!” (yes/no). If confirmed, everything else should happen in the background.

The following criteria applies for forwarded offers:

  • The products must directly be delivered to the final customers (i.e. delivery tracking must be provided by the producing milling center)
  • The producing milling center sends the invoice to the original milling center.
  • The price is defined by the price list assigned to the organisation of the original milling center (which is usually the partner price list). That implies that the original milling center must be applied as a customer to the producing milling center)
  • The original contract is fulfilled as soon as the producing milling center delivers the products
  • The customer should be kept updated about the status of his product.

Forward all orders

In your production center, go to Automatic order forwarding. 

From here, you can enter a timeframe and the desired production center. All orders will then be automatically forwarded within that time period.
